Keeping up with Columbia

As you will remember Miss Blakesley recently visited our link school in Columbia and this year we enjoyed a visit from Walter and Astrid, teachers from the school.  We are keeping in touch with our new friends and completing lots of projects in school that are linked to projects in Columbia.  If you would like to keep up to date with our international links you can access the blog via the school website.

Investors in Pupils

Our work with Investors in Pupils targets is designed to raise children’s understanding of the wider world, develop key skills and encourage children to set and work towards their own achievements. This half term, in key stage one, we will all be working towards the achievement of the same target.

I will arrive at school on time every day.

There are several reasons why we have picked this target

1.    To encourage those children who already want to/do arrive on time – we want them to see how proud we are of their efforts.

2.   To encourage those children who are more resistant to getting ready for school in the morning.

3.   Most importantly to help them along the way to achieving their reward time on the inflatable that Commando Joe will be bringing into school.

Each child has 18 spots to colour on their target card and they will achieve a spot each time they arrive before 9:00am through the classroom door.  This will get them well on the way to achieving 100% attendance and punctuality ready for the inflatable.

We hope you will see the value in supporting your child with this target and will help them to achieve their reward for colouring all their spots by the end of this half term.

Thank you for your support
