Commando Joe

We had our first full Commando Joe session on Thursday and everyone loved it!  We did some team building games and activities and then Commando Joe let us go on his small inflatable!
We have to come to school on time every day to earn the right to go on Commando Joe's large inflatable at the end of term.  It is also our Investors in Pupils target so we all need to work extra hard to get ready in the mornings!
Please can the grown ups try extra hard too because none of the children want to miss out on this exciting opportunity!

Football session

Today we have all had a half day football session with Miss Green.  We have been learning some key skills and we have designed our own football kits and mascots!  We feel we are getting prepared for the World Cup!
Have a look at some of the things we have been doing.

Literacy

In Literacy this half term we are learning about the book 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch'.  We are really enjoying it so far and next week we are going to be making sandwiches using instructions.  Ask us some questions about what we have been learning about!

A huge well done to all of the children that entered the Easter Gardens competition on the last day of term.  The children had clearly worked hard on their homework and it was lovely to see how proud they were.  We enjoyed going around school looking at all the entries but Miss Farrar and Mrs Mee thought that the year 1 entries were particularly impressive!
Have a look at some of them below!
