This half
term we will be learning about life and objects in the past as part of our
history work. Today we started by
thinking about our own history and had a go at ordering the important events in
our lives. These included being born,
walking, our first day at nursery and learning to ride a bike.
Then we
had a think about what other important events might happen to us as we grow
up. We thought about leaving school,
going to university, learning to drive and even getting married but the most
exciting question was “what will we be when we grow up?” Now Miss Farrar and Miss Atwal are still
wondering what they might like to be when they grow up so they would like some
help!
We would
like the children to work with their grown-ups to decide what they would like
to be when they grow up. They could draw
or paint a picture of themselves in their job, make a poster to explain what
they would do in their job or create a presentation on the computer (needs to
be on a disc or USB stick to be shared with the class). We would like to know why they have picked
that job, what they think they will enjoy about it and what special things they
will have to do in their job.
How the
children present their ideas is really up to them but after all the wonderful
Me Box work we are very excited to see what they come up with!
