Wow, year one had a fantastic time on Friday 18th July when Tamba Roy came in to do story telling with us!  All year we have been saving our Investors in Pupils money and we used it to listen to Tamba for an hour.  We had stories and songs and we even learnt some breathing techniques.

A wonderful time was had by all! 

 



In ICT we have been practising our word processing skills.  Everyone in 1M has decided what they would like to write on the blog about what they have enjoyed this year.  We hope you enjoy reading them.

Today Commando Joe brought his large inflatable for everyone who has been at school on time every day for the last 5 weeks.  We had a fantastic time and even Miss Pallender had a go!

All of the children understand the importance of punctuality and attendance at school so hopefully everyone will be able to have a turn next time.

 

 



Wow, we have grown spinach, radishes and lettuce!  It has all grown really well.  So far we have taken radishes to the kitchen for the salad bar and our fresh spinach went in the curry!  Have a look at us harvesting half of our crops today!

 



We all had chance to take part in a samba drumming workshop.  Adam taught us how to play the instruments, how to put words to songs and how to play a beat.

We had a carnival king and queen from each class to represent us all.  They learnt a chant and a dance and they led the carnival parade.
